Poem: Poem for My Girl

Poem: Poem for My Girl

Don’t doubt what you have,

An abyss of character and grace,

Your only doubts are from inside,

Holding you back, not letting you fly,

When I see you- I see a perfect

So perfect girl,

Someone who could love like a guardian

And fight

Like a gladiator.

I do not deny my imperfections,

A lilac sky next to your amber sun,

Humour me when I am not up to scratch,

But you still bite

When you think I’m wrong.

Your elbows are sharp,

So walkers beware,

But this girl mine

Will be someone someday.
